Privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
This policy explains how Revia handles your information when you use the Revia app with your Garmin Connect™ account, and when you visit this website. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Revia.
Revia is in an invite-only pilot. Pilot accounts handle data differently: they keep training data on the phone. If you are in the pilot, the privacy screen in the app (Settings, then "What leaves this phone") shows exactly what leaves your phone.
In short
- We collect your Garmin data, the information you add to Revia, and what Revia works out from them, so we can coach you.
- Some of this goes to our AI provider so the coach can answer. We remove your name, email address and Garmin account ID first. We ask for your permission before any of it is sent, and you can turn it off at any time.
- We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
- You can see, correct, export or delete your data. Write to info@revia.fit.
1. What we collect
From your Garmin Connect account
Only after you connect your account and give permission on Garmin's page. Garmin then sends us new data each time your device syncs. We do not receive data from before you connected.
- Activities: type, date and time, duration, distance, pace or speed, heart rate, cadence, power, elevation, laps and the activity file
- Daily health data: sleep, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, stress, Body Battery and steps
- Cycle tracking data, if you track it in Garmin Connect and choose to share it
- Your Garmin account ID, which links your data to your Revia account
We never ask for or store your Garmin password.
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and sign-in details
- Goals, training preferences and the days and times you can train
- Calendar entries: one-off events, unavailable periods, regular commitments and races
- Workout plans you create or change
- Notes for the coach, health notes (for example an injury or illness), and your answers to check-in questions
- Your conversations with the coach
Information Revia works out
- Training summaries: intensity, heart rate zones, training load and session type
- Your usual ranges, such as your normal HRV and resting heart rate
- Estimated recovery cost for each session
- Links between your training and your recovery, and patterns Revia finds in them
- Recommendations, session reviews and changes to your plan
Health information and what Revia works out from it is sensitive information. We treat it that way even when it is not linked to your name.
When you visit this website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, such as your IP address and the pages you asked for, for a short time to run and protect the site.
When you email us
If you email us, for example to ask for an invite, we keep your email address and what you write so we can reply. We delete invite requests we no longer need, and you can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
2. How we use it
- To analyse your training and recovery and find patterns
- To plan your workouts around your goals, your calendar and your recovery, and to change the plan after each session
- To answer your questions through the AI coach
- To run, secure and fix Revia, and to answer you when you contact us
Revia's observations show what tends to happen together in your data. They do not prove cause and effect. Recovery costs are estimates. Revia gives training guidance, not medical advice or a diagnosis, and it cannot promise to prevent injury, overtraining or burnout. If you have a health concern, see a health professional.
3. AI transparency statement
Revia's coach uses a large language model run by our AI provider.
What it does
It answers your questions, reviews your planned week, gives a view on each completed session, and suggests changes to your plan. Revia's own rules check its suggestions before they change your plan.
When we send data
- When you ask the coach a question
- When Revia reviews your coming week
- When Revia reviews a session you have completed
What we send
Only what the coach needs for that task: your question, your goals, your notes for the coach and health notes, recent sessions, recent sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, stress and Body Battery, your cycle day if you share it, and what Revia has worked out about you.
Before we send it, we remove your name, email address and Garmin account ID. We send the text you write, such as questions and notes, as you wrote it. If you put a name or other details in that text, they go too. Removing these identifiers does not make your data anonymous, so we treat what we send as personal information.
What the provider may do with it
Our AI provider uses the data only to give the answer. Its terms do not allow it to use your data to train its models.
Your permission
We ask for your permission before Revia first sends any of your data to our AI provider. You can withdraw it at any time in the app's settings. Revia then stops sending your data to our AI provider, and the AI coach features stop working.
5. Where your data is kept
Your data may be stored or processed outside Australia by our hosting provider and our AI provider. When it is, we stay responsible for it under Australian privacy law.
6. How long we keep it
- While your account is open, we keep your data so Revia can learn from your history.
- If you disconnect Garmin, we stop receiving Garmin data at once and delete the Garmin data we hold within 30 days.
- If you delete your account, we delete all your data, including what Revia worked out from it, within 30 days. How to delete your data.
- We keep a short record that you asked for deletion and when we finished it. It holds no training or health data.
7. How we protect it
Your data travels over encrypted connections. Only the people who run Revia can access it, and only to run and support the service. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the law requires.
8. Your choices and rights
- See and export the data we hold about you
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it, or your whole account
- Object to or limit how we use it
- Withdraw permission: turn off AI features in the app's settings, or disconnect Garmin in the app or in your Garmin Connect account
Write to info@revia.fit from the email address on your account. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. Age
Revia is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
